- The purpose of this study programme is to equip the prospective church planter
with the basic knowledge to start and manage a new church.
- This is a one-year certificate consisting of four modules, namely:
- Module 0 & 1
Church administration and leadership.
This includes Module 0 that deals with Planting a Church.
- How to be successful by formulating your vision.
- How to plan
- How to implement your strategy
- Finances and administration
- The responsibility of handling finances
- The importance of budgeting
- Leadership
- The personality of God's leaders
- The practicability of God's leaders
- Module 2 Christian faith and life
- Christ is the centre of faith
- The wonder and fruit of salvation
- Module 3 Know the Bible
- Understanding the literature of the Old and New Testament
- Bible Study methods:
To understand the composition of the Bible; to understand how to interpret the Bible; to use the Bible for personal devotion and for ministry.
- Module 4 Ministry skills
- Homiletics: to compose a sermon and how to deliver it with success.
- Liturgy: the principles to conduct different Christian services
- Pastoral Care: basic knowledge about counselling.
- Christian Education: basic knowledge in the teaching ministry.
- Evaluation:
The students knowledge and understanding of the work will be
evaluated through the completion of four assignments. This entails the completion
of an assignment per module. These assignments will be sent back with a mark
and commentary.
- Registration is open all year round and students can register any time of
the year.
